Planetarium 1 is the world's largest planetarium with a dome 37 meters in diameter, opened in 2017 by a team of enthusiasts. It is located in the former gas holder building. This is the biggest gas storage facility in Russia, which has been turned into a new technological space. The planetarium created the SpaceLab, a free-visit science and technology laboratory that designs robots and produces equipment, content, and architectural solutions for other planetariums.
Planetarium 1 is a high-tech venue for bringing together the scientific, technological, and art communities. Since its opening, it has hosted over 1000 events, including festivals, forums, concerts, educational lectures, exhibitions, meetings with cosmonauts and astronomers, contests and conferences.
Every session includes several full-dome shows.
